The Science Day of the European Metropolitan Region Nuremberg (EMN) is a key event of the EMN’s Forum for Science. Each year, around 600 to 900 participants attend, including representatives from academia, industry, politics, administration and education. High-level panel discussions, specialist presentations and a diverse supporting programme provide insights into current research findings and highlight the performance of the regional scientific landscape. In 2015 and 2024, the Science Day took place at Hof University of Applied Sciences with the support of the Wilo-Foundation.
Science Day 2024 in Hof: Resources and future security
On 19 July 2024, the Science Day of the Metropolitan Region Nuremberg was hosted at Hof University of Applied Sciences. Under the motto “Resources for tomorrow and today – a roadmap for a secure future”, participants discussed current issues relating to resource efficiency, sustainability and innovation.
Representatives from academia, industry and politics highlighted the region’s innovative strength and outlined pathways towards a more sustainable future. The event was hosted by Hof University of Applied Sciences and the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Bavaria, together with the City of Hof and the districts of Hof and Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge region.
The Wilo-Foundation once again provided financial support for the Science Day 2024, continuing its long-standing commitment to promoting science at Hof University of Applied Sciences and its regional responsibility.
Science Day 2015 in Hof: Focus on knowledge transfer
Under the motto “Knowledge transfer. regional – national – international”, the 9th Science Day of the European Metropolitan Region Nuremberg took place at Hof University of Applied Sciences on 27 July 2015. More than 700 participants, including renowned decision-makers from academia, industry, politics, administration and education, gathered in Hof.
