Presentation of Germany Scholarships

To date, the Wilo-Foundation has awarded nearly 1,500 scholarships, primarily in the Ruhr region and Upper Franconia, making it one of the largest supporters of the Germany Scholarship Program.

Funding period: 2011-2026

The scholarships target exceptionally motivated and talented students, mainly from engineering but also from other disciplines such as architecture or spatial planning, to help these students uncover their true potential right at the start of their university studies.

Through the scholarships, the Wilo-Foundation intends to promote the academic education of junior scientists, especially in engineering-related disciplines and in spatial planning, design and architecture, and to support the respective centres of science in this way.

In addition to providing financial support, the Wilo-Foundation also invites scholarship holders to participate in exclusive professional events. Moreover, they are given an opportunity to visit cultural institutions supported by the Wilo-Foundation and to meet and talk with artists at their place of study.

Our funding partner

Ever since 2011, the German Ministry of Education and Research has been supporting students who have demonstrated the potential of outstanding achievements in their studies and careers by providing them with 300 euros per month. The scholarship is funded 50/50 by the German government and private benefactors. So far, the Wilo-Foundation and the WILO-Stiftung have provided support to TU Dortmund University, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Ruhr University Bochum, FU Hagen, University of Magdeburg, University of Applied Sciences Hof, University of Applied Sciences Coburg and University of Applied Sciences Münster.

The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) forms the global framework for action for socially, economically and ecologically sustainable development. Our funding commitment also supports these sustainability goals. With this project, we are making a contribution to achieving the following SDGs:
