Promoting talents - building future skills

“Empowering young people” is the guiding principle behind our support for projects across the entire educational pathway – from early childhood education and schooling to higher education, career orientation and vocational training. We support young people in discovering their talents, developing future skills and navigating an increasingly digital and AI-driven world in a responsible way.

We particularly support programmes that provide children, adolescents and young adults with individual guidance and practical insights into education, careers and the key societal challenges of the future. This includes fostering future skills, digital literacy, entrepreneurial thinking and a reflective approach to emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.

To promote future-oriented learning, we support dedicated educational initiatives, schools and extracurricular learning environments through science, technology and digital education projects. In doing so, we place particular emphasis on equal opportunities, participation and empowering young people to actively shape the future.

Current projects

The project focuses on pupils in Dortmund who take an interest in technical matters, giving them an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and apply their creative potential in the fields of electrical engineering and technology.

In line with its mission to promote young talents and STEM subjects, the Wilo-Foundation – together with Wilo Group and the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (DASA) – is a sponsor of the regional "Jugend forscht" contest in Dortmund that takes place every year.
