Wolfgang Mertineit has supported the Wilo-Foundation since it was established in 2011 and was appointed to the Foundation's Executive Board in 2016. He is primarily responsible for financial planning and accounting as well as asset management and controlling. The family foundation is also the trustee of the WILO-Stiftung, the non-profit foundation of the founding family.

Mr Mertineit has simultaneously been involved with WILO SE for many years in senior commercial positions and most recently as Senior Vice President. During his more than 17 years of commitment to WILO SE, Mr Mertineit also acquired the necessary expertise to assist in the preparation, establishment and management of the Wilo-Foundation in a senior position as member of the Executive Board.

After graduating with a degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann), Wolfgang Mertineit gained extensive and in-depth experience in international industrial companies. Finance and controlling topics have been a common thread running through his professional career.

As a member of the Executive Board of the Wilo-Foundation, Wolfgang Mertineit ensures the permanent and sustainable fulfillment of the foundation's purpose and the intention of the founder within the framework of the German Foundation Act and the foundation charter of the Wilo-Foundation.
