With financial support from the Wilo-Foundation, the Goethe-Institut launched its Studienbrücke – #wasser_umwelt_technik (Study Bridge – #water_environment_technology”) programme for pupils in Russia for the year 2020. The programme targets 10th grade students in Moscow whose German language skills are at a B1 level or higher and who take a particular interest in the topics of environment, environmental technology, water research and sustainability and want to study at a German university in one of the above-mentioned subjects. The Wilo-Foundation awards 16 scholarships under the programme.
The Studienbrücke programme prepares participants for starting a Bachelor’s degree at a German partner university by giving them an opportunity to hone their general and technical language skills and explore intercultural aspects. The programme also enables participants to get insights into different professions and to develop their competencies through various programme components. Students who have successfully completed the scholarship programme can apply immediately at a German partner university in a simplified application process. Once they have started their studies in Germany, they also benefit from a special support programme.
