Support for young rowers in Laval (France)

In its sports funding activities, the Wilo-Foundation is fully committed to the sport of rowing. With the foundation’s support, young rowers, in particular, are to be given the opportunity to grow their talent. The Club Nautique Aviron de Laval (CNLA) rowing club is located in Laval in the Pays de la Loire region in France.

The adjacent Mayenne river offers excellent training conditions for roughly 220 club members. The majority of rowers is under the age of 20, and the support programme is extremely successful. Some young CLNA talents have already participated in regional, national and international rowing competitions. In order to further improve training conditions and enable the club to buy suitable rowing boats, the Wilo-Foundation is supporting the rowing association over a three-year period, starting in 2014.
