Professional development for students and young professionals
When different countries and people engage in a scientific exchange, they can build skills and expertise, and their exchange also promotes international understanding. In 2015, a Summer School dealing with the “Energiewende” (the transformation of the energy system) was established for 40 students and junior managers. The international training and education event takes place every year, alternating between Germany and Russia, and is a joint project initiated by TU-Campus EUREF in Berlin and Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg.
During the two-week course, participants explore topical issues in the field of energy. Many guest speakers from academia and the business sector provide food for thought and share practical examples. The Wilo-Foundation has been supporting the project since the very beginning, thereby promoting scientific and cultural exchange between the two countries and their junior experts.
