Technological research support at the University of Dortmund
The Wilo-Foundation is very active in the field of science, with a special focus on the areas of environment, water and technology. At the Technical University of Dortmund we grant many scholarships and also support scientific projects at various institutes.
At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, we are providing funding for a three-year period, starting in 2016, in the field of optimisation of electric drive systems and drive systems control at the Department of Control Theory and Systems Engineering.

The Department of Control Theory and Systems Engineering at the Robotics Research Institute at TU Dortmund was founded in 2005 and specialises in automation and robotics, and particularly in the development of driver assistance systems and service robotics. The Department’s hydraulics lab also develops and optimises valve controllers.
