The new water education project organised by the TEMA Foundation (Istanbul), the “TEMA Kid Program”, is designed to reach 15,000 pupils aged between 6 and 14 at 250 schools in 81 provinces in Turkey. The process is to be implemented in collaboration with teachers who have already participated in the “TEMA Ecological Literacy Program” to prepare for their new task.
The programme’s objective is to promote a broad awareness of water environmental systems and a sustainable approach to water as a resource. The TEMA Foundation is the largest leading environmental NGO with over 500,000 volunteer members in Turkey. Wilo-Foundation provides financial support for the preparation of learning materials, operation of a water website (www.sutema.org) and a weekly radio programme presenting topics related to the environment and water. The support initiative was launched by Wilo Turkey.
