The German Maifest in Busan, Southkorea

Wilo-Foundation supported the biggest German Festival, Maifest, in Busan

Busan. The Maifest, a German Festival, took place on Saturday May 27th, 2017, at Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS) campus. Founded in the year 2004, it became one of the biggest German cultural festivals, which attracts people from all over Southkorea.

The aim of the festival is to raise awareness of the German culture and language, to stimulate the motivation to learn German and to connect young people with German companies. In Busan, around 600 students study German in varoious local universities in 2017.

At this year's festival, around 300-500 visitors experienced traditional performances and food such as the German sausage & beer, and the German music performed by local students.
